O HERO  considers your personal data a very serious matter and therefore complies with the respective national legislation as well as Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament on the protection of natural persons against the processing of personal data and for the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).

HERO  is committed to the full implementation of current legislation and European regulations taking into account the adoption of appropriate technical and organizational measures for the protection of personal data.

When do you need to give us your personal information?

When you register for one of our workshops 

 You must provide us with the information on the registration form (such as your name, a contact phone number, your e-mail address and - in the case of a minor, the information of the parents making the declaration). These details of yours are registered on our computers, so that we can provide you with the training services you are participating in. 

Since your participation requires you to become a member of our Association, your details will be kept in the Association's membership register. For more details see the privacy statement attached to the specific participation form.

When you enter one of the contests we organize  

 You must provide us with the information on the registration form (such as your name, a contact phone number, your e-mail address and - in the case of a minor, the information of the parents making the declaration). These details of yours are registered on our computers, so that we can provide you with the services of participating in the competition, in which you declare participation, and also organize it more efficiently. If you are participating in one of our international competitions, in addition to the above, you also inform us of your place of residence, so that we can organize, if possible, your free transport to and from the place of the competition._cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_

 

Participation in the competition is solely at your own risk. The organizers are not responsible for:

  1. Theft  or loss of personal items.

  2. damage or damage to your equipment.

  3. Any kind of injury or bodily harm.

  4. Chances of changing the location or date   of the competition.

The team coach undertakes that after the final registration of his team, he will ensure that the team is present at the venue of the competition, the times they will compete and the validity of the data. Otherwise, the organizer has the right to exclude the team from the competition.

 Entries must comply with the Terms and Conditions of this Contest and must not defame or violate the rights of publicity or privacy of any person or otherwise violate the rights of any third party or contain abusive, racist or other references. In the event that, at the discretion of the Organizer, the participation does not meet the said specifications or the Terms and Conditions or the participation is, in its judgment, itself the product of illegal technical influence on its systems or in general fraud or unfairness intervention of the participant or a third party, may at any time exclude the Participation.

 

When you indicate that you want to become one of our volunteers.

 Once you fill out our volunteer form, we will register the information you provide in the form (name, phone, address, e-mail address, experience, etc.) in our volunteer register, to be used for your placement in the appropriate volunteer position in one of our actions or events. When you want us to send you Newsletters with offers etc.

In the event that you wish to subscribe to our email newsletter service, in order to be the first to learn about our events, actions and contests, you will do so providing us with your express consent for this purpose, stating only your email. 

You can revoke this consent at any time by email to info@he-ro.gr , or by pressing the "unsubscribe" button  which is at the end of each informative mail.

If you are already a registered member of ours, or have recently participated in our events or activities, we may send you such informative emails or text messages (eg SMS, Viber messages, etc.), without your prior subscription to the newsletter service being necessary. This will only happen if you did not object to receiving such messages in the first place when you signed up. 

If you no longer wish to receive such messages, you can declare it either by phone, or by sending an e-mail,  or by pressing the "unsubscribe" button_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_ which is at the end of every sms message or by using Viber's unsubscribe feature.

Registering for the newsletter service does not in any way mean that the users acquire intellectual property rights, which in any case are protected by the relevant provisions of Greek legislation and international conventions and belong exclusively to the company.

HEROreserves the right to delete any recipient from the newsletter lists without justification.

The admins of HERO  make every effort to keep the newsletters running smoothly, however it is always possible that technical or organizational problems may occur.

When we post photos or videos 

If you would like to participate in our workshops, events or competitions, you will be asked if you wish to take and / or publish photos or videos in which you may be depicted. Provided you do not object to this publication in the first place, some of your images may be selected for publication on our website or social media accounts. If you wish to object after they have been published, you can do so by exercising your right at +30 6940411020, or at email info@he-ro.gr

When you send us messages through a contact form

You can submit your message to HEROthrough the contact form. For this purpose, you should provide your name, phone number and email address so that we can contact you to respond to your message. 

In case you choose to contact us using the contact form, none of the data you provide will be stored by this website or transferred / processed by anyone. Instead, the data will be entered into an email message and sent to us. Email content is encrypted before it is sent over the internet to travel securely and is decrypted by our local computers and devices after it is received. We will keep your message in our electronic mailbox for six months from the last communication. 

Necessary (functional) Cookies (IP Address, URL, Browser, OS) 

HERO can detect the IP address through which the computer or any other electronic device accesses the Internet and then its websiteHERO. This is due to the way the internet works and aims to secure networks from malicious activity. For the same reason, this function collects information about the type of browser and the operating system (windows, android, iOS, etc.) of the user. This information cannot identify you directly and is stored for the minimum period necessary for network security. RIGHT OF ACCESS AND CORRECTION 

You have the right to know whether the personal data concerning you has been or will be the subject of processing and in any case to demand from theHEROcorrecting your personal data if it is inaccurate, or completing it in case of deficiencies. When updating your personal information, you may be asked to verify your identity before we can fulfill your request. 

RIGHT OF PORTABILITY 

You can receive your personal data in electronic form. This right of yours applies:

RIGHT TO DELETE 

Under the conditions of the law, you can request the deletion of your personal data, as well as in specific cases the limitation of the processing that they are subject to. As long as you are a member of our organization your mobile phone or email address may be included in the list of addresses that  receive emails, text messages (sms) or messages through the society's applications information (e.g. Viber application), in order to inform you about our actions, offers and competitions or events. If you are not our member,  this will only happen after your own action to subscribe to our newsletter, with your prior express consent. In any case, you will be able to object at any time to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes, using the unsubscribe option provided in each message, or by email to info@he-ro.gr . 

 In case of exercising the above right, your personal data will no longer be processed for these purposes.

RIGHT OF LIMITATION 

You have the right to request the restriction  of the processing of your data.

This will apply if you dispute the accuracy of your data and until we verify it, when you consider the processing to be unlawful, when we no longer need it, or when you have exercised the right to object.

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL 

You have the right to file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Authority if you believe that your data is being processed unlawfully. The Authority recommends that   you first contact us to submit any complaint or request. You can do it for free by contacting our phones (+30 6940411020) or by email at  info@he-ro.gr).  We will make every effort to satisfy your request. In case you are not satisfied with our answer, you can submit your complaint to the Authority (Kifisias Street 1-3, 115 23 Athens, tel. 210- 6475600, www.dpa.gr, email: complaints@dpa.gr).  

How to exercise the above rights:

To exercise your rights, as well as for any information regarding the processing of your personal data, you can submit a request to our phones (+30 6940411020,) or by email to  info@he-ro .gr).  

We may need to ask you for your identification before responding to make sure someone else isn't exercising your right. 

As a general rule, your request will be granted within a month of its receipt, or if it is particularly complex, you will be informed about it at least within a month for the delay that the complexity of the request may entail. 

The information and all related actions in response to your requests are provided free of charge, unless excessive or repetitive.

Retention time of your personal data

Your personal data is kept only for as long  as is necessary for the purpose for which you provided it. 

Thus, if you are subscribed to the newsletter service, we will only keep them for as long as you wish to receive updates and delete them if you no longer wish to do so. 

If you are our registered member your details will be kept for one year after your last membership renewal. Your historical details (name and length of membership) will be kept on the membership register for 20 years for us to comply with trade union legislation.  

If we have issued a tax document that you have requested from us for providing services to you, we will retain the tax information for  ten (10) years as required by tax law.

If you have consented to the installation of non-necessary cookies, they will remain stored on your computer or mobile device until you delete them or until their predetermined lifetime expires.    

 

Why is it legal to use your data? 

For the use of your data to be lawful, there must be a reason provided by law (legal basis). In any case where we make use of your personal data, this is only done if one of these legitimate reasons exists, which are specific:

Our legitimate interest. 

The law allows the processing of personal data in certain cases to achieve the legitimate interests of the development of an organization, the promotion of its actions and services and their improvement, (unless these interests prevail over the interest or the fundamental rights and freedoms of person). We take care not to infringe your fundamental rights and freedoms to serve our own legitimate interests. That is why we process your personal data on this basis, only if this processing is not particularly annoying or invasive to you.

  • The publication of photos and videos from our actions, competitions and events is one of our legitimate interests, for the promotion of the statutory purposes of the Association, which is its educational nature.  

 

  • Also, our legitimate interest in satisfying our customers and partners allows us to respond to questions or requests that you submit to our email address or our contact form,  , the purpose of which is to exchange opinions among our members with common interests that benefits  the advancement of the statutory purposes of our association. 

Our legal obligation 

In some cases we may need to collect your personal data because we are required to do so by a legal provision. For example, you should give us your VAT number if you wish to issue a tax document for the services we provided you or for your membership fee. Contract with you

If you participate in one of our workshops, competitions or events as a participant or volunteer, this means that an (informal-verbal) service contract is made between us. In order to fulfill this agreement between us, we will need to know the information we are asking you for (without which it will be impossible for us to fulfill the agreement). 

Consent

In any case where we use your information outside of the above, we must have previously obtained your clear, free and informed consent.

  • In case you participate in one of our sponsored workshops, your participation details (name and surname) are disclosed to the sponsor, in order to check our compliance with the conditions for the provision of our services to you.   • In the event that you participate in our camp educational activities, the information you submit on your participation form will be forwarded to the camp you choose, in order to conclude an agreement with you and provide you (or your child) with hospitality services at its facilities. OHERO  has a special agreement with these partners to protect your personal data and it cannot be passed on to anyone else. 

In any case, your personal data will not be transferred, sold or disclosed to anyone   for marketing purposes, without your prior express consent. 

Transfers to third countries

Your personal data is not transferred to third countries outside the EEA or to international organizations that do not enjoy a decision of adequacy for the protection of personal data. 

 

Security of your personal data

OHERO implements appropriate technical and organizational measures in order to ensure an appropriate level of security of your data against risks. However, no information system is 100% secure. In any case, OHEROhas provided to prepare a plan to deal with any incident of violation, in order to eliminate or limit its consequences, according to which if a high risk is created for your rights or freedoms, you will be informed immediately. 

Privacy Policy and Children

The website is designed and intended for use by adults. If you are a minor, please contact your parent or guardian for their use of the website. 

Social media

Our Website may offer Social Networking and other related tools that allow you to share your actions within the Website with other applications, websites or mass media, and vice versa. Using such features allows information to be shared with your friends or the general public, depending on the settings you have specified in your personal profile on the social media you post. Also, if you follow us on the above media, or send us messages through them, we collect any information you have on them (name or nickname you use, photo or avatar, etc.), in order to provide you with information or respond to your messages.
